I commit myself to work for social justice, educational equity, and antiracism advocating against any kind of discrimination, in a compassionate, kind and humble manner I will make this world a little better for those that come after me.

Welcome to my site.

I am David Albornoz an advocate Social Justice by means of Civic Engagement, an educator for social justice, a Gulf South Volunteer, a supporter and practitioner of bilingual education, a Latino, and a father of three!

Yo soy David Albornoz, un activista y promotor por una sociedad mas justa por medio de la participación cívica, además soy un educador, voluntario y practicante de la modalidad de educación bilingüe, soy también Latino y padre de tres niños!

Academically, I am a predoctoral fellow currently enrolled in the Doctorate in Education (Ed.D) at Hamline University.  I am also an alumnus from the Master of Arts in Management (MAM, spring 2004) and the Master of Arts in Law for Foreign Lawyers (LL.M., fall 2005). At Hamline I received a Certificate on Alternative Dispute Resolution from the Dispute Resolution Institute.

Professionally I have accepted the position of Executive Director of La Escuelita. La Escuelita is a non-profit organization located in Minneapolis, Minnesota that works with the Latino community toward educational equity and closing the achievement gap.

Profesionalmente, soy un abogado y profesor con  Maestrías en Derecho Laboral, Gerencia, Derecho Internacional y Resolución de Conflictos. Actualmente estoy estudiando un Doctorado en Educación en la universidad de Hamline.

My main interests include multi-cultural, bilingual education and service, multi-cultural conflict management and proactive community participation. I am specially interested as these relate to Nonprofit Management, Education, Alternative Dispute Resolution, Labor Relations, HR Management and Cross Cultural Relationships and ultimately Social Justice. I posses a solid background, life experience and extensive academic training in those areas.

Mis intereses principales incluyen educación y servicios multiculturales y bilingües, así como gerencia de conflictos multiculturales y participación comunitaria. Yo tengo extensa experiencia profesional y académica en estas áreas.
